This year, the monsoon rains in Delhi and the NCR region have been exceptionally intense, overwhelming the entire rain management infrastructure and leaving localities uncertain about which bouts of rainfall will lead to flooding, with water levels rising up to 3 feet. ​ Despite having the necessary tools like water pumps and flood barriers, we struggle to anticipate whether a given rainfall will cause flooding until the damage is already underway.
